Our Pitch

The first shot is a two shot of  two friends walking to a party through a woodland area. They both hear a loud crash which they go and investigate, finding a crashed out motorbike rider at the bottom of a ditch. Upon close inspection they find that the rider is dead and chose to look in the bag that the rider is holding. This is the Mcguffin as we do not find out what is in the bag, much like the briefcase from Pulp Fiction. This adds a sense of enigma to our film. The two boys go on their way with one boy taking the initiative and leading in the situation (Adam). As they leave the scene of the crash. There is a cross cut to an anxious looking man on the phone wondering why his partner isn't picking up. He then tracks back on the route the rider was taking and finds the lifeless body with no bag. in complete disregard and lack of compassion for his dead partner he rolls over the body in search for the Mcguffin. Not finding it he storms out of the ditch and spots the two boys walking off with the bag. The man gives chase and the boys break away from him and into a woods. After losing him they decide to split up and call one another if they manage to find an exit, this decision is made by the boy who has been leading throughout the entire video. After the split the anxious boy (Seamus) becomes worried and hides clutching the bag as the other looks for an exit. Cross cutting between the "Drug Lord" and the boy in hiding build tension as he appears to be getting closer to him, however on the next cut it shows that it is Adam who is about to be caught, leaving Seamus to fend for himself with no one to rely on. As the roles are subverted with the disappearance of Adam.
